Glitz Marketing was launched in January of 2009 as part of the Elle Marie brand. Elle Marie Hair Studio, a family-owned company, was launched in August of 2006 in north Bothell, Washington, just a block south of the affluent Mill Creek community.

Elle Marie Hair Studio experienced immediate success capitalizing on a diverse range of experience among its three owners, including two members, Jody Bossert and Colleen Buck, who spent their careers in the corporate world and only one member, Lorry Green, with actual beauty industry experience. While many small businesses are started by individuals with specialized skills, eager to break out on their own, it is often too late when they realize the additional efforts required to grow a business. Elle Marie Hair Studio was lucky enough to have an ownership team with a diverse set of skills and began to appreciate this more and more as they received positive press and accolades within the community.

As Marketing Manager for the salon - a part-time effort - Jody decided to turn his marketing efforts into a full time endeavor. Jody is actively involved in the South Snohomish County Chamber of Commerce and was elected Vice President of the Mill Creek Business Association in January 2009. Guided by both his strong involvement in the local business community and his numerous discussions with beauty industry leaders, Jody began compiling the various tasks he had accomplished for the salon into marketable packages for both the beauty industry and beyond, and thus, Glitz Marketing was born.
